Design student Jacob D’Rozario is currently on work placement at Foundry84. He is in his final year studying Graphic Design at the University of Leeds. We asked Jacob to document his experience so far and show you some of the work he has been doing. Sorry, Jacob we had to take one of your visuals out as it is still a top secret project…

“I was lucky enough to score a placement at Foundry84 and already feel I have learned so much! I am set to graduate in July and having industry knowledge is something which is vital to all design graduates. People often have misconceptions that internships involve running around, making cups of tea and filing paper work, however things couldn’t be any different!

I’ve had the opportunity to work on a number of live briefs, ranging from small independent clients to larger corporate brands. Tasks have included creating concept websites, designing maps, floor plans, leaflets and also branding and logo design. Branding and advertising is the area which I would like to specialise in and the guys at foundry have given me confidence and vital industry knowledge.

My placement has been highly rewarding and enjoyable so far, and I’m looking forward to the rest of my internship.”
